Justification:
Students will be able to use the cookie sheet and magnetic letter to practice their sight
words and letter/ sound recognition. They will also be able to use the trays with sand on them
to reinforce spelling. The Play-Doh will be used to practice forming each letter of the alphabet.
The dry erase pockets will be able to be used in all centers. They will be used for matching
activity’s in the literacy center. I will place an activity inside and students can write on it with a
dry erase marker. Some of them will have a sentence for them to read and then they can draw
a picture at the bottom. The alphabet stamps can be used in many ways, one is they can use
them to write their daily sentence in their writing journal. Students can also use the individual
dry erase boards to write their sentences out before stamping them in their journals. Students
will use the dot markers to trace over the letters in the alphabet on a piece of construction
paper. The foam letter can be used to practice the students name, sight words, or basic phonics
skills.

Justification:
Students will use the dominoes and the dice to practice addition and subtraction.
Students will use the clothes pins that will be marked with a number and attach it to the correct
task card. Students will use the pattern blocks and pattern design mats to practice making
patterns along with naming shapes. The buttons will be used as counter and for sorting. The
table caddy will be used to store all materials needed for each center. Students can use the
clipboards for all the centers. The magnetic wands will be used for science and discovery.
Students will be able to explore with different items to see which ones are magnetic. The
weather and seasons activity will be where students sort articles of clothing and items that
belong in each season. The science viewers will be used for discovery and science. Students can
look at different cards with many pictures on each one.

Justification:
Students will be able to use the mosaic picture maker to create their own pieces of art.
The no spill paint cups will be great to use when students are painting. The drying rack will be
used to store and dry artwork that is wet. Students can choose a task card which will give them
an item, animal, or person to create with the pipe cleaners. Students can put the googly eyes
on their drawings, paintings, or anything else they make. Students can use the egg shakers or
the tambourines to make music or follow along with the music CD’s. The headphones can be
used to listen to music on the computers or when listening by their selves to the sing along
CD’s.

Justification:
Students will be able to play with plastic food and dishes in the provided kitchen areas in
the dramatic play center. They can also dress up in the multiple costumes. They will be able to
play using real world items such as a cash register with play money and play cards. Students can
play with the camping set and pretend to be on a real-world camping trip in the center as well.
These activity’s will encourage real world situations as well as play.
Motor Skills Center

Justification:
Students will be able to use the big beads to sting on the strings to work on their motor
skills. The water beads will be in containers, students can use their fingers or one of the fine
motor tools to pick out and sort the water beads. The ice trays will be used to fold different
small items such as buttons, pom-poms, and beads. Students will use the fine motor tweezers
to move the items and group them as they want. Students will use the hole punches to hole
punch the paper provide. The paper will have an animal, letter, or shape for the student to
trace using the hole punch. Then they can use the yarn to string through the holes.
