Strategy

15 units all in all.

1. Honorarium - 1st year only. To provide tests

2. Ask marketing department to focus on doctors , to improve brochures. will

the company sophize this? Yes. Why? since medtek is rebranding on October
2008.. and doctors have the right to recommend the test to the laboratories
and what to use.

3. Bundle with hematology…

4. Promotional event specifically for URIT 910 wherein you invite all pathologists
to see URIT910

5. Loan to Societies- Medical missions.

6. Send to Universities like UST and other medical schools

7. Train product Specialist for URIT-910 since one product specialist is only used
for all automation products

Application of the 4P’s

1. 15 to 20k - one test. One year only

2. Income 180k for every unit.

3. 350k URIT

4. Loan to societies- 5 units to loan. 1 society to 1 unit.

Train Product Specialist for URIT-910 Electrolyte Analyzer

The researchers propose that an employee be assigned as a product specialist

for URIT-910 Electrolyte Analyzer since the company has only one product
specialist. The specialist covers the whole product line under Automation in the
Philippine Territorial Configuration under Medical Trends and Technologies.

This will incur no expenses since the company just assigns an employee to have
more knowledge about the product than any other sales person in the company but
will have an increase in commission when URIT-910 Electrolyte Analyzer is sold to
any potential client.

A commission of an additional 2% will be given to the sales person assigned to

be the product specialist of URIT-910 Electrolyte Analyzer if that sales person sold
the product

Bundle with Hematology

URIT-3000 Hematology Analyzer is another automation product that tests

parameters which includes RBC, WBC, HGB, HCT and PLT. It is a type of medical
equipment that focuses on determining the balance of blood cells inside the human
body. It is a different product as compared to URIT-910 Electrolyte Analyzer that is
used in determining the correct balance of electrolytes in the body.

The researchers will propose to bundle URIT-3000 Hematology Analyzer with

URIT-910 Electrolyte Analyzer to as a strategy to sell the product to potential clients.

The researchers will bundle the products with a selling price of Php 180,000.

Php 130,000 goes to the sales of URIT-910 Electrolyte Analyzer and Php 50,000
goes to the sales of URIT-3000 Hematology Analyzer. Projected sales when
strategy is implemented: 7 units.

Loan to Medical Societies

Medical Societies are non-profit organizations in the medical field.

Medical Societies engage in Medical missions to serve to the general public,
often times to the public below the poverty line, and often times Medical
Societies need additional equipment.

The researchers propose that 5 units of URIT-910 Electrolyte Analyzer

will be loaned to such societies. Through this, the societies can then test
URIT-910 Electrolyte Analyzer within a two (2) year period and then decide
to purchase the product from the company.

The researchers project that 3 out of 5 Electrolyte Analyzers will be

purchased and only two (2) units will be returned.

*any serious damage to the machine will be good as sold.

Honorarium

An honorarium is an ex gratia payment made to a person for their services

in a volunteer capacity or for services for which fees are not traditionally required.

The researchers will propose to hire a volunteer university to make a test

on URIT-910 Electrolyte Analyzer, to prove whatever claims the company has on
the product. The information given out by the test will provide evidence or basis
on how URIT-910 Electrolyte Analyzer fairs against competitive products.

Since an honorarium does not require a traditional fee but only requires
whatever amount is needed for the testing or whatever research is done an
amount of Php 20,000 is allotted for such activity.

Promotional Event Specifically for URIT-910 Electrolyte Analyzer

Medical Trends and Technologies participate in conventions such as

PAMET in order to showcase their products to potential clients but have
never hosted an event specifically for any product.

The researchers would like to propose that the company host a

promotional event showcasing URIT-910 Electrolyte Analyzer and invite
Medical Technologists, Pathologists and Doctors to see for themselves the
actual product and how it is better among the competitors in terms of quality
assurance.

This would be feasible since the company allowed the researchers a

budget of Php250,000.
