Introduction
This book presents a deep analysis of Dorian Scale.
The argument is divided in 5 different aspects of increasing complexity:

1. Scale analysis: sound palette, possible harmonizations, etc. After this section
you’ll know where you can use this scale.
2. Scale positions: you’ll find a lot of diagrams all along fretboard. After this section
you’ll know where you can find scale on your guitar fretboard.
3. Scale exercise: you’ll find specific pattern exercise todevelop fluency in playing
scale on your guitar. After this you’ll be able to play most used pattern.
4. Scale licks: you’ll find a lot of useful licks to consolidate scale knowledge. After
this section you’ll be able to play scale melodically.
5. Common Progression Licks: you’ll find scale application in real world
progressions. After this section you’ll be able to play scale in every situation.

Why this book

Many guitar players ask me to prepare a book with samples of usage of specific scale.
That is!
This book is different from other in the market because it organize a complete approach
from scale positions to melodic applications. This is the only resource so rich of
samples.

How to use this book

Scale positions are presented only with C as root. You’re invited to explore other
tonalities.
Samples are the real value of this book. You’ll find a lot of exercise and also audio
tracks to support your study.
