The Royalty Rate Level chart below explains what you make as a contributor when
your files are licensed.

How We Determine Royalty Rates

Exclusive

For exclusive contributors, royalty rates for iStock.com are determined by the total
number of paid downloads (“Downloads”) of a contributor’s content by file type,
across all iStock and Getty Images sales channels (excluding Thinkstock and API),
during a calendar year.

All Downloads of Signature+ files through iStock.com will count as two Downloads
rather than one toward the Download Targets.

On January 1 of each year, each contributor’s license total is reset to zero and their
Download total for the end of the prior year will establish the starting royalty rate
on January 1. We may change the royalty rate targets annually and will give notice
prior to the start of the applicable year.

Non-Exclusive

Non-exclusive contributor royalty rates for iStock.com are:

15% for photo,
20% for illustration
20% for video

Your Downloads do not impact your royalty rate for iStock.com licenses as a non-
exclusive contributor.

How We Calculate Royalties

For files licensed using credits, the contributor’s royalty rate is applied to the net
price of credits used to license a file. Credit prices vary depending on when they
were purchased (as our prices change over time) and how many were purchased at
once (as we discount bulk packages).

For files licensed using a subscription on iStock.com, the contributor’s royalty rate is
applied to the price per file. The price per file is determined at the end of each
subscription month (which is specific to each subscription and may not be the end
of the calendar month) by dividing the monthly price for that subscription by the
number of downloads against that subscription.

For files licensed through platforms other than iStock.com, the below chart shows
where a flat royalty is applied and where a percentage royalty rate is applied to the
License Fees (as defined in your Artist Supply Agreement).
