Dear XXX:

As I finish my student teaching in the Philadelphia School District, please accept

this letter and enclosed resume. It would be my honor to fulfill the position of High
School Biology teacher in a Philadelphia School this year. This December I completed
my degree in Environmental Science as well as my certification in teaching Biology
through Drexel University. I am excited to give back to the city of Philadelphia through
a career in teaching.

I am excited to apply to the Philadelphia School district after an incredible

experience student teaching at Kensington CAPA. At KCAPA I spent time working with
Biology students in 10th grade, and occasionally 11th and 12th grade students. In addition
to peer mentorship and an educational internship at the zoo, I am proud of my
accomplishments during my student teaching.

Beyond my career experience, I am a dedicated worker and planner. Through

diligence and hard work, I am able to accomplish creative and high level tasks for
students. I am excited about the opportunity to use my skills in leadership, patience and
diligence to create a strong climate for learning. I hope to meet for an interview in the
