INFORMAL LETTERS

TIPS FOR WRITING INFORMAL LETTERS


1. When writing a letter to a member of the family or a
close friend, the tone of the letter is generally casual,
friendly and conversational.
2. The greeting may vary, in the introduction of the letter.
3. Avoid using slang or colloquial expressions.
Example : Long time no see.
4. The salutation can also be informal. Example : Hi, Hello
5. The paragraphs are not numbered.
6. The ending is informal.
Example : Love, Regards
