LAPOE “SMITTY” SMITH, JR.

June 4, 1961 to November 30, 2018

Our hearts are deeply saddened by the sudden death of Mr. LaPoe “Smitty” Smith, Jr. Mr.
Smith, 57, of San Antonio, Texas, who represented NBA, NFL & WNBA athletes, was a
certified sports agent with the National Basketball Players Association. Funeral Services
for Mr. Smith are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Mt. Mariah
Baptist Church, 3985 Highway 5, Frierson, Louisiana. A public visitation will be held
from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, December 7, 2018 also at the church. As a final farewell
from his sports family and the San Antonio community, a memorial service is scheduled
for 7:00 p.m., Sunday, December 23, 2018 at Champion Sportsplex, 6712 Joe Louis Drive,
San Antonio, TX. Your presence at these services will be most meaningful to his family
as they celebrate his life and legacy.
