Introduction (warmer activity + teacher introduction/demonstration of small group activities)
Hook: The teacher will ask the students to look under the chairs and tables to find some words ،
after that the teacher will ask each student to have read aloud and stick them in the whiteboard.

The teacher will present the words on the board by using flash cards and there are pictures
describing each word. The teacher will read all the words and the students will repeat after the
teacher.
The teacher will ask the students question ((What do you see in these words? ))

together.

Independent Experience (small group activity 1) high-level students
1) The teacher will put the words balls in the water basin and the students will use the fishing stick
to catch the word balls.
2) the teacher will give this group box; the students will open the box and find some sentences and
pictures to match the words.
3) the students will put the words, sentences and pictures in the middle of the table.
For example, the teacher will pick the word ((fun )) she will use a fishing stick to find it in the
water basin after that she will opine the box and find the sentence and pictures have this word.
Independent Experience (small group activity 2) middle-level students.
1) the teacher will give this group some high-frequency words in the flash card.
2) the students will use hand robot to catch the letter cubes of the words and put it in a plastic dish.
For example, the teacher will pick one words ((sun)) and she will use hand robot to find the letter
cubes (( s, u, n)) and she will put it in the plastic dish.
Independent Experience (small group activity 3) low-level students
the students will set in the mat and try to solve the puzzle it makes the picture with the letter to
make one word after that the teacher will give this group small notebook to write the words with
the use colors.
Special Need Student:

To do this activity the students need words cards and a Play-Doh. The student will take one word
from the words cards and make this word by using the Play-Doh.

The teacher will stick the words on the floor. The teacher will ask 2 students, in turn, to stand near

to the words. The teacher will say a word and the students have to be an active listener to what
word that teacher said to jump on.

The teacher will put next to the door 2 bags one of them for “word with short u” and the other for” word
without short u” Each student will have a word. When they student leave, they will choose which bag is
suitable for their words and they will put their words there.
