KCC COACHES
DIC DOUMANIAN Head Coach
Doumanian returned to KCC as the head coach of the women’s basketball
team in 2017-18 after previously coaching women’s basketball at KCC for
seven seasons. From 2000-01 to 2006-07, Doumanian led the Bruins to a
120-82 overall record, winning the MCCAA league title twice and leading
the Bruins to the NJCAA National Championship tournament. The Bruins’
sixth-place finish in the nation during the ‘04-05 season under Doumanian’s
leadership is still the most successful women’s basketball campaign in KCC
history. Doumanian also received MCCAA Coach of the Year honors twice
while at KCC.

Doumanian earned an undergraduate degree in journalism from Michigan

State University in 1982 and a master’s degree in elementary education
from Clarion University in 1990. Following his previous stint coaching at
Dic Doumanian
KCC, he coached women’s basketball at Defiance College in Ohio for four
Head Coach
years, leading his team two appearances in the conference tournament.

RAY MILLER Assistant Coach

Coach Miller has over 30 years of coaching experience at various levels in the
Kalamazoo, Parchment, and Battle Creek Public Schools. He also has extensive
basketball coaching experience in AAU and YBOA systems. Coach Miller
also coached at KCC with Coach Doumanian for seven years during Coach
Doumanian’ s first coaching stint at KCC.

Coach Miller is a 1974 graduate of Comstock High School and has been married
to his wife, Rose, for 25 years. They have six children and 14 grandchildren.
