2. With a partner, make a list of the qualities that you need to be successful in today’s job market? (at least five) 
 
3. What do you think the job candidate categories “the silver spoon” and “the scrapper” mean? Use a dictionary 
to help you.   
 
4. Watch the first part of Regina Hartley’s talk about different types of job candidates (0­2:56). What does she 
say about the difference between “silver spoons” and “scrappers”? Do you agree? 
 
5. Make a prediction about the relationship between learning disabilities and success. Watch and compare your 
ideas (5:37­6:37). 
 
6. Watch again and try to define the following words and phrases:
