Lesson Reflection 7
Lesson Reflection 7
Select (S):
This lesson is in the literacy class. It’s explaining how the students can reading in fluency way.
Describe (D):
This lesson for year five students to teach them how reading fluency. It was in grade five literacy
class in the school. In this lesson, the students think about how to read fluency and should
understand other students when they are reading.
Analyze (A):
I think the students responded with the way that they did because they understood all the
instructions of the activities and the goals of the lesson. I have engaged their understanding
through explain what it means to be “fluent” in a language and explain that the difference in
fluency was the difference in the level of understanding around the room.
Appraise (A):
There was no experiment in this lesson, but the I tasted the students understanding through
asked them to select a short story from the pre-selected class set to see if they read fluency. Also,
I allow the students to find a partner and practice good fluency while reading to their partner.
I believe that this lesson meets my teaching goals, because the students understood well the
concept of the lesson and they have a lot of information and experiences about it and I saw that
during their speaking, reading and discussions when I asked from them to make a conversation
with each other and read a short story.
Transform (T):
In the future I will enhance student learning of this lesson through using other ideas to refresh their
thinking more. For example, at the begging of the class I will present some videos that talking about
how to read fluency. The implications for my professional practice are it can improve my skills more
and achieve my teaching goals during the semester.
