Overall aim and context of the lesson

In this lesson the students were able to:

 Create a self-sustaining biosphere.

 Create a self-sustaining biosphere that will thrive for at least one month.

Select (S):

This lesson in the eleventh session of this course. It’s explaining how create a self-sustaining
biosphere.

Describe (D):

This lesson for year five students to teach them how to create a self-sustaining biosphere. It was in
grade five science class in the school. In this lesson, the students think about the layer of biosphere
and how can create a large scale of self-sustaining biosphere

Analyze (A):
I think the students responded with the way that they did because they understood all the
instructions of the activities and the goals of the lesson. I have engaged their understanding
through telling students that a biosphere is a self-regulating system of ecosystems and the Earth
can be considered a biosphere. Also, I discuss why the ability to create a large-scale biosphere may
be important.
Appraise (A):

There was experiment in this lesson which the students should use different materials and create
a large scale of biosphere. After they finished the experiment, they explained what they did and
why they did this experiment.

I believe that this lesson meets my teaching goals, because the students understood well the
concept of the lesson and they have a lot of information and experiences about it and I saw that
during their discussions and excite when they did the experiment and saw the different works
from other.

Transform (T):

In the future I will enhance student learning of this lesson through using other ideas to refresh their
thinking more. For example, at the begging of the class I will present some videos biosphere and
ask the students some questions related to the video. The implications for my professional practice
are it can improve my skills more and achieve my teaching goals during the semester.
