Dear Bobcat Family,

Today at the Principals’ Meeting, SBCE was recognized in three categories: Earning a 5-Star Climate on CCRPI, moving from a B
school to an A school and earning a score of 90 or above on CCRPI. It was an honor to represent this stellar school today at the
meeting and to accept these award on behalf of the students, teachers, parents and community.

Lego League
Congratulations to our Lego League for winning The Best Project category at the latest competition. A special thank you to Mr.
Barrett, parent volunteer and coach as well as Ms. Hopkins, Ms. Huber and Ms. Gibson. We appreciate your dedication to our
Bobcats.

Finally, as we enter this holiday season, I want to share how grateful I am to serve as principal at SBCE. It brings me so much joy!

Lost & Found
As you join your student for his or her holiday party over the
next week, please stop by the lost and found racks in the
atrium. There are many coats, jackets, and items here that have
December been left behind. Items that remain at the end of the semester,
will be donated to those in need. Thank you!

20 End of Quarter 2 Thanks to the generosity of our PTA, our gaga pits and spring
21-Jan. 2 Winter Holiday Break – No school rider have been updated and improved. Our students will now
be able to fully enjoy these activities during their recess time.

28-2/1 5th Grade Science Force is encouraging students to try the Refocus Strategy when they
are finding themselves getting off task. Some ways they can
do this is: count to ten, draw a circle in the carpet with their
finger, or get up to throw a piece of trash away. These
strategies will help students demonstrate our 3 R’s: ready to
learn, respectful, and responsible

✓ Teacher Breakfast sponsored by our PreK/K/1st graders will be on Friday, January 25th.
