Multiple Intelligences-
Algebra 1 on slopes!

Boyack, Ms. Anjum, and Mr. Everett
● Directions: Students will listen
carefully as we sing the song
ourselves the first time around.
Content- Algebra Then, we will have them all stand
up by their seats and they will

rhymes and songs will benefit from this
lesson. By hearing this song now, they will
be able to come back to it by humming it in
their head when working on an assignment.

Activity- Students will sing and learn a

slope song

Materials- Your lovely singing

Ms. Duffy
DIRECTIONS: Pass out one “Murder at
the Mansion” activity sheet. Read the
story/”police report” to the students.
Content- Math- Algebra 1
After it is read, leave the “alibis” on the
screen so the students can see it. Start
a timer for --- minutes. Once the timer
starts, the students will graph the lines

answer sheet provided to check for
correctness.

Intelligence- This murder mystery

activity will appeal to Logical/Mathematical
students because the activity requires thinking
about the story and problem at hand. Students
will also need to use their math skills to
accurately plot points and find slope in order
to be successful.

Materials- “Murder at the

Mansion” worksheet, pen/pencil,
murder story paper (for
teacher to read)
