Dear Mrs. Stallman:

I am writing to you today in hopes of securing a position as a preschool teacher at Clark

Elementary School. It has always been a dream of mine to work with children in education since
I was in high school, and I am striving to do just that.

Since the beginning of high school, I have applied myself everything that I do. Thanks to that, I
managed to graduate at the top of my class with a 4.1 GPA. In addition to being successful
academically, I also have skills in leadership, speech, and creativity due to my participation in
National Honors Society, the school’s speech team, and various art contests. I have been a
teacher’s assistant in both high school and elementary. Throughout middle and high school, I
have been to various schools because of my father’s job. Yet, I have managed to take that as an
opportunity to strengthen my flexibility as a student and person. Different school settings
allowed me to learn about distinct teaching styles and curriculum.

In short, I am an active learner that is enthusiastic to work with children and help them grow. I
am welcome to expand on myself more in an interview and I thank you very much for taking the
time to read this.
