Opening (warmer activity + teacher introduction/demonstration of small group


activities)
- First, the students will set on the carpet.
- Revise with the students the sound of M letter.
- Write letter D on the board with the students.
Time: 10 min

- Using a PowerPoint to teach the students about letter D.


Whole

- The students will go back to their tables.

Guided Experience (group working with the teacher) 5 minutes


- The students will work as a team in this activity, were they will have a jar and
they have to put what is beginning with the letter D in the jar.

Independent Experience (independent activity 1) 5 minutes


- The students will open the learners book on page 58. First they will write the
date, and then, the students will circle the letter D on the first activity. After
that, they will follow the tracing for letter D, capital and small letter. The last
activity, the teacher will open the page from the computer to read for the
student the last activity, and the students will make a circle on YES or NO.
- For the first two activity, there are some students who will be guided by the
teacher.
Time: 30 min
Small

- For the last activity, there will be a guide for the whole class by the teacher.
Independent Experience( independent activity 2) 10 minutes
- First, the students will use the illuminated papers to write letter D in capital
and small way.
- There will be a teacher guide for the students who are a low ability learning.

Independent Experience( independent activity 3) 10 minutes


- If the students finished from the learners book and the illuminated paper,
they will open the activity book on page 49, and they will do the tracing for
letter D.
- There will be a teacher guide for the students who still have some difficulties
with the writing.

Closing
Time: 5 minutes

- The teacher will use the PowerPoint again to revise for the students the letter

- The students will clean the tables and move back their books in their places.

learner book.
- Correct the activity book to know if they did the tracing for the letter in a right way
