BUSINESS QUIZ

GENERAL RULES

1. The participants are supposed to report at the time provided.

2. No use of any gadgets is permitted during the prelims.
3. Any malpractices will lead to instant elimination.
4. While answering questions, answers with whole part of the answer will only be considered
eligible. (E.g., names of personalities should be in full name).
5. The participants are supposed to maintain discipline in the hall.
6. Teams selected after prelims will have to use their own mobile phones as buzzer.
7. Decisions of quiz master will be final.

INSTRUCTIONS

PRELIMS
 A written exam containing 40 questions.
 30 one word questions and 10 MCQ questions.
 Exam would begin at 11.00 a.m.
 Duration of exam is 45 minutes.
 Results will be published by 12.30 p.m.
 Highest scoring 8 teams would be selected to the first round.
 Participants are supposed to report at 12.45 p.m for the next round.

ROUND 1

 Round 1 consist of 2 sub rounds; normal round and buzzer round.

 Duration of round 1 is 45 minutes.
 Results will be published by 2.00 p.m.
 Participants are supposed to report for the final round by 2.15 p.m.
NORMAL ROUND
 A direct question will be asked to each team.
 Each team would get 2 questions each.
 There is no passing of questions.
BUZZER ROUND
 Participants must use their own phones as the buzzer.
 Question won’t be asked to any particular team, whichever team knowing the answer
can press the buzzer.
 The first team to press the buzzer will be eligible to answer the question.
 Teams are supposed to press the buzzer only after the completion of the question, if
pressed earlier question won’t be completed.
 For every wrong answer, negative marks will be provided.
  There is no passing of questions and if no team presses the buzzer, question will be
cancelled.

FINAL ROUND

 Final round consist of 2 sub rounds; know your partner and rapid fire.
 Duration is 30 minutes.
KNOW YOUR PARTNER
 The team members are supposed to separate themselves, one to press the buzzer and
another to answer the question.
 The one who is to answer the question is asked to stand in front of the one to press the
buzzer.
 Participants are supposed to use their own phone as buzzer.
 For every wrong answer, negative marks will be provided.
RAPID FIRE
 10 questions are asked directly to each team.
 Teams are supposed to answer the questions as fast as possible.
