Message from the Headteacher: End of Autumn Term 2018

END OF TERM – THURSDAY 20 DECEMBER

The Autumn Term finishes on Thursday for the Christmas holiday. The students will be allowed
to leave school at 12.30pm, following the final morning of lessons.

START OF SPRING TERM – MONDAY 7 JANUARY 2019

School restarts at the normal time, 8.30am, on 7 January. Please do support us by ensuring that
your son(s)/ward(s) are ready for school on that day.

We will be undertaking the normal start-of-term checks to ensure that our students are ready for
learning and that they are properly equipped for lessons. In addition, the normal appearance and
uniform checks will be undertaken. It is really disappointing to have to send students home at the
start of term for not following our published policies, so please do ensure that this is avoided.

OUSTANDING AGAIN!
Our Challenge Partners Review took place last week and I am pleased to report that the school
has been judged as ‘Outstanding’ for the third year in a row. I shall provide publish the outcomes
of the report at the start of next term.

I am very pleased that the external review team, led by an Ofsted Inspector, recognises the hard
work of the staff and the considerable achievements of our students. It is, of course, especially
pleasing to note that boys at Isleworth & Syon School are consistently amongst the highest
performing students in the country. This also provides us all with much satisfaction and security
for the continued success of the school.
