Should College Athletes get paid?

College athletes should get paid. First in the article “Should college athletes be paid” by

Veronica Majerol, Shabazz Napier, a college athlete, says, “ There are… nights where I go to

bed starving.” These college athletes are very good at the sport they play, they play for their

college and are making them millions. Then not being paid for what they do best and going to

bed hungry. That’s happens to most players like Shabazz Napier. That’s horrible for players to

go hungry, that’s also a bad image on the colleges for their players to go hungry. Some may

argue that the college shouldn’t pay the players because the colleges see the players as

armatures and aren’t entitled to a pay. Nevertheless, my point still stands, because there are

players that are starving. All because they aren’t getting paid for playing their sport in college.

To conclude college players should get paid for playing their sport because some players can't

afford food.
