How to Perform the Fardh of Salat Al-Fajr

with Images
Two rakat fardh of Dawn, Morning Prayer

Firstly, we state our intention (niyyah) in our hearts

or audibly that we are going to perform the two
sunnah rakats of the dawn prayer by saying "I intend
to perform the two rakats fard of the Salat Al-Fajr for
the consent of Allah". While raising your hands in the
manner stated above, we say takbir "Allahu Akbar"

After that, we start to recite first "Subhanaka"; after

Subhanaka we say:"Audhu billahi min-ash-shayta -
nir-rajeem Bismillah-ir-Rahman-ir-raheem" and recite
Surah Al Fatiha. Then we recite some other surah.

Stay in ruku', at least for a time during which

"Subhana Rabb'i-y-al-Adhiym" could be said three
times calmly and comfortably.

Then we return to the standing position saying "Sami

Allahu li-man hamidah ". We stand still for a moment
and say: "Rabb'ana lakal hamd"
Then we go to prostration
(sajdah) by saying "Allahu
Akbar". In sajdah we say three
times "Subhanarabb'iy-al-A 'la".

Then we rise and sit from the first sajdah by saying

"Allahu Akbar" and then we go for the second
'Sajdah' by saying" Allahu Akbar " again.

And we say three times

"Subhanarabb'iy-al-A 'la" again
of the second sajdah.

Then we rise back from sajdah to the standing

position by saying: "Allahu Akbar". We clasp our
hands, thus the second rakat starts. We say
"Bismillah-ir-Rahman-ir-raheem"and recite the
Fatiha. Then we recite some other surah.

After this we go to ruku' again.

Stay in Ruku', at least for a time during which

"Subhana Rabb'i-y-al-Adhiym " could be said three
times calmly and comfortably.
Then we return to the standing position saying "Sami
Allahu li-man hamidah ". We stand still for a moment
and say: "Rabb'ana lakal hamd"

We go to sajdah by saying
"Allahu Akbar" and we say
three times" Subhanarabb'iy-
al-A 'la".

We rise by saying" Allahu Akbar ".

We go to sajdah once again by

saying "Allahu Akbar" and say
three times "Subhanarabb'iy-
al-A 'la".

We sit on the 'Qadah' by saying "Allahu Akbar". It

shall be the same as mentioned in connection with
the method of sitting between 'Sajdahs'. In Qadah
we recite At-tahiyyat, Allah-umma salli, Allah-umma
Barik and Rabbana.
Then we turn for 'Salaam' first to our right sides by
saying "As Salaam-u alaikum wa rahmatullah" After
that we turn to the left side saying "As Salaam-u
alaikum wa rahmatullah" again.

Thus we have finished performing the two rakats
