ELECTRICAL CONDUIT INSTALLATION

OBJECTIVE
This method statement describes the work execution plan for the installation and
completion of electrical conduit installation work. It also aims to clearly define the
necessary guidelines for more efficient and acceptable quality result of work.

SCOPE OF WORKS
This method statement covers work related to the installation of electrical conduit for all
buildings.

TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT

The following are the necessary special tools required for the proper installation of
electrical conduit:
Manual bender
Manual Pipe threader

METHODOLOGY

 Check the route of the conduit and ensure it is free from debris and other
activities.
 Identify the circuit start point and end point and mark the conduit routing onto
the approved drawing.
 Start installing/drilling supports for the conduit.
 Lay the conduit and use recommended bends as per site condition.
 Conduits are to run neatly, vertically or horizontally.
 Remove sharp edges of the conduit.
 Once completed, insert and pull string/wires from start to end points of the
conduit.
 Conduits are not to cross pipe shafts and vent openings.
