ORGANISING
1.1 Young BATU, with the support from BATU Activities Team on the
tournament, is organising the Futsal Inter-Branch Challenge

2. DATE & VENUE


2.1 The date of the tournament will be on 11th November 2018, Sunday.
2.2 Time: 2pm – 6pm.
2.3 The venue will be at Futsal Arena @ Yishun, 32 Yishun Central 1, 760932

3. KICK-OFF TIME
3.1 The kick-off time will be at 3.00 PM Sharp. All team officials or team
captains will have to register their teams by 2.00 PM together with the
identity of their team members. The draw will take place at 2.30 PM Sharp
on the same day.
If team officials or team captains are not present for the DRAW, THE
ORGANISERS WILL REPRESENT THEM IN THE DRAW.

4. ENTRY CLOSING DATE


4.1 Entry forms duly completed should reach Young BATU reps by 29 October
2018.

5. RULES AND REGULATIONS Except where otherwise provided, the game shall
be played in accordance with the existing rules and regulations of FIFA. The
rules governing the Tournament are:-

5.1 Registration – Each team shall register a captain who can participate as a
player in the tournament, 5 players and 3 reserves (only if he is registered
as a player).

5.2 Composition of team – (a) A team must comprise of participants with at


least 4 team players that must be BATU members. NO S-LEAGUE or PRIME
LEAGUE players are permitted to participate in this competition. Teams
found with such players competing will be considered to have violated
these rules and result in disqualification. (b) No changes to the team
players should be made within the last 7 days prior to the event. Any
changes within 7 days to the teams’ players will be evaluated by the
Organisers on a case-by-case basis.

5.3 Proof of Identity – (a) Upon registration, each team will be required to
show proof of employment status with their respective BATU unionised
companies on the day of the tournament for registration. (b) The union
members of each team must proof their union membership. Random
checks may be performed during the event.

5.4 Refund Policy – Once paid, registration fees for the event is non-
refundable.

5.5 Disputes – (a) Should teams be found to field a non-registered player, the
Organisers reserve the right to forfeit the game. 3 match points with 2
goals will be awarded to the opposing team and the offending team may
be disqualified from the tournament with no refund. (b) Teams suspecting
fraudulent or deceitful behaviour being committed by other teams are to
report such suspicions to the Organizer immediately. The Organisers
reserve the right not to entertain any disputes or appeals by teams after
a reasonable amount of time has passed after such suspected behaviour
has occurred, or after the event.

5.6 Fair Play and Conduct – All players are expected to conduct themselves in
a manner that upholds the spirit of fair play and demonstrates
sportsmanship. The Organisers reserve the right to take any action before,
during and after the event to ensure that this spirit is upheld.

5.7 Mode of Tournament – The total number of teams participating will be


divided into groups of 4 and shall play on a league basis. ONLY THE
WINNER of EACH GROUP will play in the next round on a single knock-out
basis

5.8 Points – The method of points shall be as follows:- i. Win - 3 Points ii. Draw
- 1 Point iii. Lost - 0 Point. In the event of a tie, the top 2 teams of the
group shall be decided on goal difference. Should there still be a tie; a
match will be played for 3 mins with 4 players on each side. Still tie, then
it will go down to 2 mins with 3 players and so on.

5.9 Duration of Matches – The duration of matches are as follows: - 1st Round
league basis – The duration of each game shall be 7 minutes with no
interval. Quarter-Finals onwards will be on a single knockout basis – The
duration of each game shall be 7 minutes with no interval. The Semi-Finals
& Grand Finals – The duration of each game be 10 minutes with no
interval. For Quarter-Finals onwards, if there is a tie, 3 penalty kicks will
be taken after which if it is still a tie then it will go to sudden death penalty
shootout.

5.10 Offside Rule - There will be NO offside rule in this tournament.

5.11 Minimum Number of Players: - (a) No match shall commence unless each
team has AT LEAST 4 PLAYERS on the field, one of whom must be a
goalkeeper. After a grace of 1 minute, if the team fails to field the
minimum required numbers of registered players, the team shall be
deemed to have conceded a walk over. The winner team shall be awarded
3 points and 2 goals. (b) If both teams fail to field at least 4 players after a
grace period of 1 minute, the match shall be declared null and no points
awarded to both teams. (c) If a team has 3 players or less on the field at
any time during play, the match shall be stopped and referred to the
tournament committee whose decision will be final

5.12 Withdrawal – Any team which FAILS to field a minimum of 4 players for 2
matches shall be deemed to have withdrawn from the tournament. In this
instance all previous matches involving this team shall be desired null and
void. All points will not be included in the championship.

5.13 Substitution – FLYING SUBSTITUTION shall be permitted during a match


but substitution must be made ONLY when the ball is out of play or
during stoppages.

5.14 Team Sheets – Before the kick-off of the tournament each team shall hand
in the team sheet 30 minutes before match kick-off. Any team fielding
UNREGISTERED player shall be disqualified and shall have the match
awarded to the opposing team. In this case, the opposing team shall be
awarded 3 points and 2 goals.

5.15 All teams should be wearing the SAME set of jerseys WITH numbers

5.16 All players MUST put on shin guards with long socks (compulsory FIFA
ruling).
6. PROTEST / BREACH OF RULES & REGULATIONS

6.1 Any player cautioned with 2 yellow cards shall be automatically


suspended for 1 subsequent match.

6.2 Any player who is shown with a red card (send-off) during a match is OUT
of the competition. Offences of a serious nature will be dealt with by the
Organisers.

6.3 Referee decision is final.

6.4 Any dispute not covered for in these rules and regulations shall be dealt
with by the Organisers whose decision shall be final. The Organisers
reserve the right to take any and all necessary actions, up to and including
legal action, to prevent and/or remedy any breach/violation of these
Rules and Regulations.

7. INDEMNITY

The Organisers shall be indemnified against all actions, suits, proceedings,


claims, demands, costs and expenses whatsoever which may be taken against it,
in respect of death, injury, disability or damage or whatsoever nature which may
be caused or suffered by reason of participation in this tournament.
