Status of land procurement

Lodhama HEP(10MW)

1) Private land-7.142 acres

2) Govt. vested land-0.297 acres

3) WBSEDCL land-4.586 acres

Total= 12.025 acres.

A) For direct purchase of private land from 15 land owners:

1) The private land owners sent their consent for selling out their land individually.

2) Land particulars have been collected and verified by the BL & LRO/ Bijanbari.

3) ADSR valuation received.

4) Non-encumbrance certificate & searching report have been received.

5) Permission from BCW department is yet to be received. The CE, Hydel is looking after the
matter.

After obtaining clearance from BCW Dept, proposal will be sent to standing committee.

B) For Govt. vested land, proposal is sent to the District Magistrate & Collector/Darjeeling for
initiation of LTS proposal in the L& LR Department.

C) WBSEDCL land is available now. The CE, Hydel has been requested for mutation these WBSEDCL
Land.

Rammam Intermediate HEP (12 MW)

1. Cabinet approval for land acquisition obtained.

2. In West Bengal side – Land Valuation is completed & Consent of Pvt. Land owners has been
received. Long term settlement for the portion of Govt. land obtained from land department.
3. In Sikkim side – Permission for direct purchase of land and NOC from owner obtained.
** The layout of the project needs review in view of the Teesta and Rammam Basin Study in
West Bengal side conducted and under review by MoEF & CC, Govt. of India. The procurement
of land will be pursued as per the review.
