This business plan proposes creating a digital platform to connect smallholder farmers in Pakistan directly to global customers, eliminating middlemen. The platform would provide services like logistics, packaging, storage, and export licenses. This direct connection would increase farmers' profits by cutting out middlemen fees. Initially a single commodity would be targeted to test feasibility. Long term, a fully-functional B2B website is envisioned to serve as an agricultural commerce hub for farmers, managing middlemen roles and charging commission fees. A team of finance students will assess the financial feasibility of the plan while collaborating with IT and CS students to develop the required application and website.

To constitute a cost-effective structural model for agribusiness of Pakistan, which would not only generate financial profitabilities but also serve as a major source for uplifting the rural poor of the country which mostly consists of smallholder farmers. This industry accounts for half of employed labour force and is the largest source of foreign exchange earnings How - The Process Farmers shall be facilitated by providing them with customers to sell their agricultural commodities on global platforms. This shall be done by providing them with such a digital platform which would connect the farmers directly to the customers. Digital platform may include all those services which are previously done by several middlemen or commission agents such as logistics, packaging, refining, storage facilities and export licenses. Such direct linkage would result in elimination of several middlemen who are responsible for taking a major portion of farmers’ income. Thus this would result in profitability for smallholder farmers. What - Our USP The plan is to start a digital platform( a website or an application) which would provide services to the farmer and provide vendors globally. Initial start can be done by targeting a single agricultural commodity and check its feasibility. For expansion of the business, long term plan may include a fully functional B2B website which would serve as commerce for agricultural commodities for farmers. This website would manage all the roles of middlemen from logistics to packaging and others. The website shall cut a commission fee for such services. To test the feasibility of this plan we are constituting a team of four finance students, because financial feasibility of this business plan is by far the most important aspect for favourable outcomes. We shall be in consistent collaboration of CS and IT students to develop such an application and a website which would serve this purpose.
