feverish research and a couple well
timed right-clicks put me in the
know about the following piece. So
sit back and I’ll tell you a story, right after we
hear these words from Grannie Gretta’s B and B Gulag
and Swedish Massage Parlor.
Seems like the liberals....scratch that..the
progressives....scratch that...the re-gressives work under
the mantra of ‘What’s good for our side is really bad for
your side.’ Let me explain.
Stephanie Ruhle, a good-lookin’ white woman and
Ali Velshi, a bald black man, co-hosts of some MSNBC
TV show along with White House NBC correspondent,
Geoff Bennett, a bald black man have discovered
something verry verry bad is happening in the White
House these days. They’ll most likely want to have
President Trump put in the stocks or at least give him
twenty lashes.
The President had issued his ‘short list’ of possible
nominations to replace out-going John Kelly as White
House Chief of Staff who is throwing in the towel the
first of January. The catch is this; the larcenous President
did not include one minority or woman on his list.
Egads! What a scoundrel! Racist! Feminist!
Our C-in-C suggested six, count’em, six “persons
of no color” (white’s) to replace Kelly in January as the
new WHCoS. Aren’t acronyms annoying? (BTW, Mick
Mulvaney got the job.)
Ruhle made the comment that any company that
would not have a person of color or a woman on their
short list for an executive position would be “clobbered
in the court of public opinion.”
NBC’s Bennett echoed that sentiment by stating on
TV “make no mistake, they are all white men.”
Then Velshi chimed in with this faux pas, “ even
if you aren’t going to pick them (the minority person
or the woman person) they should at least be included
on the short list.” Yowie! How profound that is, indeed!
Include but don’t approve?
Sounds like liberal philosophy to me; nominate for
show but don’t select.
The tit-for-tat thing I mentioned before is this:
during Obama’s mis-administration there were four
different White House Chief ’s of Staff. Here’s the capper
folks. No one, not a Republican, Libertarian, LGBTQ,
American Indian, feminist, North Dakotan or Jehovah’s
Witness ever whined about the fact that they were, all
four of them, white men! Selected by a black man!
The office of the WH Chief of Staff was officially
established during the Truman administration in 1946.
It was called the Office of the Assistant to the President.
Kennedy added “White House Chief of Staff to the
Official title.
Before that time Teddy Roosevelt’s aide-de-camp
was called Private Secretary to the President. It was
called such until Truman.
The media folks, whom I shall henceforth call “the
Can’t Allow Crowd” in insisting on making this a racial/
feminist issue are doing what they do well-est. They’re
dividing the country! Plain and simple.
Nearly every media outlet, be it TV, radio or
newspaper is under liberal control. Fox isn’t. We do
have a few ‘people of no color’ on our side.
Trouble is that they are not trouble-some enough.
Too Milquetoasty. Not prone to demonstrations, riots,
mud-slinging, fake news generating, lying, cheating,
deceiving, name-calling nor manipulative.
Thank God for that!

An essay on a bird feeder
It seems to take a while after sunrise now for birds
to gather at the bird feeder by the kitchen window.
On winter mornings like those recently, when
the temperature struggled to rise much above zero,
the chickadees, house finches, and English house
sparrows didn’t show up until half an hour after
sunrise.
I don’t blame them; winter mornings are meant
for sleeping in.
All animals that spend at least part of their lives
in Montana, inside those man-made boundaries we
call state lines, have three strategies for coping with
winter: leave, go to sleep or tough it out.
The leaving part is easy to understand and mostly
confined to birds. It’s called migration and can be
fascinating. Some birds that hatch here will migrate
on their own to Mexico or Central America without
