Heart failure

One of the critical medical issues is the heart failure.

It's better to talk about the heart failure as it is a a clinical syndrome not a disease

Heart failure is a clinical syndrome, which reflects inability of the heart to pump enough blood to meet
the metabolic requirements of the body despite a satisfactory venous filling pressure. Hence heart
failure is distinct from shock.

So, It is characterized by ineffective or inadequate cardiac output

The second important question is how do we get the an effective cardiac output & what's the
pathophysiology of the heart failure ,because we have a different categories for that

Different classification based on the different aspects of heart failure has been attempted Systolic
and diastolic dysfunction preload and afterload derangement Right / left sided vs biventricular High
output and low output failure Acute or chronic
