The Players create medieval character using the instructions below.

Your characters
will begin play as mortals and will ave their preludes during the actual play of
the game. You may choose your clan from the ranks of the Camarilla. You may not
choose the Cappadocian Clan. Like most other mortals your characters know little of
vampires, but would likely believe that they exist along with chimera and sea
serpents. You may assign your freebie points to your characters now, but they may
not use suck bolstered traits until after their embraced. (i.e. Disciplines,
Vampire Merits & Flaws, etc.) Rigid Gender Roles & Racism will be used in this
Chronicle. Women are oppressed during this time as well as Racism towards certain
ethnicity and even religious persecution. In the middle Ages people did very little
traveling. The Road was often considered a perilous, traveling to the Giovanni
Manse may be one of the longest trips, if not the longest you've ever made.
Superstitions in the Middle Ages is very strong, Evil Spirits and Ghosts, Magic are
all things that mortals fear. Inflexible Social Positions, Unless you decide to
make a very social character with dots in Influence, you are likely just a serf or
even peasant of some Lord. Most are underprivileged, unless you have backgrounds in
Clergy or Military service.

Characters should be created as per the Vampire Dark Ages 20th Anniversary Edition.
The Starting Year in the Chronicle is April 3rd, 1444, five years before the
Camarilla officially forms. matchlock firearms have just started being used, and
are very expensive, a required amount of resources or background will be needed to
start with a matchlock. Bows and Crossbow are still the ranged weapon of choice at
this point in time. Attributes will be 7/5/3, You will not be awarded the free dot
in Attributes until after you've been embraced. Abilities are 13/9/5, remember that
no Ability can be more than 3 at this stage. Backgrounds are at 5, and Virtues are
at 7. You still automatically receive the one dot in each Virtue. Ignore the Road,
Each of you will start on the Road of Humanity, but this can change over the course
of the Chronicle. Willpower is equal to your Courage Rating in Virtues. Ignore your
blood Pool for now. You can take up to 7 points worth of Flaws, none of them should
be supernatural. You can purchase Merits for your character, again none should be
supernatural.
