1 – 4 Nov 2016

The Urban Redevelopment Authority is Singapore’s land use planning and conservation authority. Our
mission is to make Singapore a great city to live, work and play. We strive to create a vibrant and sustainable
city of distinction by planning and facilitating Singapore’s physical development in partnership with the
community.
INTRODUCTION

The Integrated Land Use Planning (ILUP) course is

one of the professional development
programmes offered by URA. This comprehensive
course provides an in-depth understanding of
Singapore’s land use planning system and how it
has been instrumental to the success of
Singapore’s urban development over the last five
decades. It adopts a practitioner-focused and
solution-oriented approach, drawing largely from
URA’s experience and case studies.

Held over four days, this intensive course

identifies planning strategies to address a city’s
needs. It covers a range of topics on strategic
planning, urban planning, urban design and
conservation, as well as the tools that Singapore
uses to translate these plans into reality.

The lectures are conducted by experienced

practitioners comprising Directors and Senior
Architects/Planners from URA and relevant
agencies.
