Aetna, Inc. Underwriting consisted of new business proposals/contracts for Aetna’s Select
Underwriter Market (companies with 51-220 employees) across 17 states. Provided Medical,
Dental and Life quotes to Sales Teams on groups exhibiting acceptable risk
levels based on demographics, claim’s experience, medical conditions, and
client needs. Required thorough knowledge and review of each state’s
underwriting guidelines, adherence of state mandates, HIPPA laws, and general
underwriting practices. Reviewed/scrutinized submitted documents for
discrepancies and completeness, ensuring accurate profile usage in quoting
decisions. Utilized various tools/systems (i.e. Dun and Bradstreet; SIC) to
access information on company profiles, and financial stability. Computed all
categorical ratings into final values and released proposals for groups falling
within Aetna’s quarterly specifications determined by regional company goals.
Final drafting and initial installation of sold business contracts. Volunteerism.

Vining’s & Wrote the 18 page business plan submitted to the bank, which secured
Barzini’s funding for this restaurant’s development. Assisted in organizing the
Grill layout of the bar and server’s station for functionality. Designed and
Manager implemented the training program for all new employees. Maintained relations
with vendors and assisted with new product selection. Generated/Maintained
