Monday:
Shape Chart: Introduce students to the shape of
the week with a colorful chart that features the
shape attributes.
Shape Maze: A fun shape maze for students to
solve. Just below is shape symmetry and a dot-
to dot activity.
Tuesday:
Shape Trace: Students practice tracing and
drawing their shapes. Encourage students
to use different colors for each shape.
Shape Playdough Mat: A simple way to get
students working with their hands.
Wednesday
Shape Find: Students practice visual
discrimination skills as they hunt for shapes.
Shape Craftivity: A fun cut and paste activity
featuring the shape of the week. These are super
simple and very low-prep.
Thursday:
Draw with Shapes: A fun activity for
children to draw real life items with their
shapes.
Shape Dab-&-Dot: A fun hands-on on
activity to build shapes.
Appendix:
Shape Sorting Game: This game can be used weekly for reviewing shapes. Students choose a
picture card and match it to the correct shape mat. This can easily be turned into a
multiplayer game for use in your learning centers.
