Scholarshipsby 31 January 2019. Thesestudentsmust:

a) Be in their final or penultimate year of medical studiesat time of placement

b) Have an IELTSlevel of 7 or equivalent

Responsibilities - Office for Global Health, Sydney Medical School

1. Liaisewith the Institutionto ensurestudentsare nominatedwithin the timeframe

2. Send studentsa preliminary application form and advise them of the application
processand studentresponsibilities
3. Advise studentsof the specific application procedure at their allocated Clinical School
4. Send studenta supporting letter for visa application oncethe Clinical Schoolindicates
all documentationand immunisationsare received
5. Book return airfare once studentsendsa copy of visa to Office for Global Health
6. Arrange accommodationfor student
7. Arrange cashcard for studentwith stipend and additional receipted expensesincurred
8. Sydney Medical Schoolwill only pay coststo the value of the Scholarship

Responsibilities - Scholarship Student

1. Fill in and returnthe preliminary application form (thiswill be sentto studentwhenthey

receive their introductory information email from the Office for Global Health)
2. When this information is received you will be assignedto the Universityof Sydney
ConcordClinical Schooland a more detailed application form will be issued
3. Send application form, immunizationsand police checksas advised by the Elective
Officer at the Clinical School.Thismustbe done as soonas possibleafter the
application form is received
4. Keep all receipts relating to immunizations,checksand visasas the Office for Global
Health will only reimbursereceipted expenses
5. Send copy of visa, passport and receipted expensesto the Office for Global Health
6. Checkflight details are correct when advised
7. Organise and provide evidenceof personal health and travel insuranceto the Office
For Global Health prior to arrival into Sydney. Thisis compulsoryand not covered by
the scholarship
8. In the unlikely event that the costsexceed the value of the Scholarship,the studentwill
have to meet the additional costs
9. Attend all weeksof placementand follow Sydney Medical SchoolCode of Conduct
