Narrative Report on

2018 Junior and Senior Girl Scout Encampment

Harnessing multiple life skills has been the optimum goal of every Girl Scout encampment.
However, for this year the organization made a point through the theme “Unleashing Potential, Igniting
Change” encouraging Girl Scouts to influence change.

The annual event was held at Stella Mariz Beach Resort, Banawang Bataan. Saysain High School
brought in 27 Girl Scouts accompanied by 4 Adult Leaders. The encampment was supposed to last for 4
days from November 29 until December 2, 2018.

Day 1

The group arrived at the venue roughly around nine in the morning. We quickly set up the tent
and prepared for the opening ceremony. Saysain High School Girl Scouts belongs to Unit 1 along with
Mabayo National High School, City of Balanga National High School, Lamao National High School,
Nagbalayong National High School, Sta. Lucia High School and Morong National High School.

After the opening ceremony, the girls equipped themselves for the outdoor cooking. In the
evening, representative from each school compete for GSP’s Ms. Earth wearing their recycled ensemble
made of newspaper.
Day 2
Most competitions were held during the second day in camp. The Council decided to compress
the activities intended for Saturday and Sunday to give way to Pawikan Festival.

Unity dance and Obstacle Relay were scheduled in the morning and Arts and Crafts in the
afternoon. In the evening, the girls relished the campfire ceremony.
Day 3

Each camp was preparing to leave on this day. Closing Ceremony was scheduled in the morning
and schools can go after their clearance.
