Frederick Hobusch
Westwood Physical Therapy
Office number : 801-967-6055

Dear Mr. Hobusch,

I am a Copper Hills Senior who is planning to graduate in May of 2019 and pursue a career in sports
medicine. I am looking for a job shadowing experience with your company. I’m the oldest of four so I
know how to responsibly take care of kids and teenagers. Every year of high school, I have spent 3
months with the Copper Hills football team. This experience taught me management and time skills. I
have worked 3 jobs in food and have had to use communication and connection skills with customers
multiple times, raising my communication and respect levels to a high and mature level. I would love to
gain more perspective and new skills with your company and I believe a job shadowing opportunity
would help me.

As I did research on your company, I found that you have been a family friendly business for almost 40
years, you also offer multiple therapies, which helps people with many different injuries. I admire that all
therapists in your company always provide one on one care with the patients you are with. I’d also like to
congratulate you, Mr. Hobusch, for your Henry O. and Florence P. Kendall practice award from 2015!

I also admire that your company is totally committed to quality care with your patients, always
maintaining contact with other medical sources and providing one on one during treatment programs. You
also stated on your website that you extend hours to benefit your patients, I think that is the best way to
run an institution, conforming to the people you are helping. Although it might be inconvenient
sometimes, it really shows how much you care and want to help your patients.

In my junior year, I found a passion for helping people. Whether it was understanding their injury or how
to fix it, I found a love for helping these people understand what’s going on with their bodies before and
after an injury. With my skills of being patient and understanding, I truly feel like I would belong in a
career like physical therapy or athletic training. Whether it’s talking or physically helping a person, I
always want to help and provide care for whoever needs it. I believe one on one’s are important for a
patient to feel safe and comfortable.

I appreciate your time, I would love to be able to job shadow for your company to see and understand
what happens in an everyday life of a physical therapist. I would love to learn in a new environment, as
well. I hope you’ll take my cover letter into consideration and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Sincerely,

Jazmine Mery
