I. RATIONALE
Pursuant to DepEd Memorandum No. 018, s, 2018 and per Presidential Proclamation No.
683 dated January 28, 1991 entitled Declaring the Month of February of Every Year as
National Arts Month, Gamut National High School joins in celebrating the 27th National
Arts Month. This will allow the students to showcase their talents and skills in any form of
arts. In this year’s celebration, Gamut National High School focuses one of its fields of art
which is Dancing. The activity is entitled “DANCE FESTIVAL” in which students will
showcase their talent in dancing. The students will perform different form of dances in both
local and international style of dance.
II. OBJECTIVES
The celebration's objective is to harvest the diversity of expressions that can be part of values
education for patriotism, cultural Identity, and love of country affirming a heritage of defending
a freedom legacy. This celebration alms to awaken pride of place, heritage, history, language
that will promote social justice and peace with the will to secure freedom from poverty, It aims
to:
A. promote and popularize the outstanding creations of Filipino artists in the seven arts which
Include Architecture and Its Allied Arts, Cinema, Dance, Dramatic Arts, Literary Arts and
Visual Arts for all sectors both local and international;
B. promote the integration of arts in community life;
C. underscore the significant role of art, the artist and other stakeholders in uplifting the
nation’s spirit; and
D. utilize art as a catalyst for Values education;
III. PARTICIPANTS
The activity will be participated by all students in Gamut National High School in both JUNIOR
High school and SENIOR High School. With the assistance of ALL MAPEH/PE Teachers
and practice teachers.
