Evaluation of EM (Effective Microorganisms) for Effect on Banana & Tomato A. Introduction: In an agrarian country like India, the farming community is facing the problems in increasing the crop productivity. Various biotic & abiotic factors play an important role in deciding the crop productivity. Out of which, soil health is the most important factor, which is decreasing day by day with the indiscriminate use of chemical fertilizers without the soil testing. Farmers mostly rely on the chemicals for the management of these factors, which no doubt has the good results, but more or less, the cost of plant protection increases. On the other hand, the excess use of chemicals has increased the problems like environmental pollution, pesticide residues, resistance in pests, decrease in population of beneficial, environmental pollution, health hazards ete, Now a days, there is an importance for the organic production as the consumers are more aware & health conscious now. Also, residue free production is the need of time for the export oriented production, In the era of organic farming, most of the pomegranate growers want to grow the crop organically for the export of their product for maximum income.
