Market Commentary
Stocks start 2019 on positive note
Stocks went up on today with negative turnover decreasing almost 1.52%. At the end of the session, DSEX, the prime index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange
(DSE), went up by 79.61 points or 1.48 per cent to settle at 5465.The two other indices finished higher. The DS30 index, comprising blue chips, advanced 27
points to finish at 1908 and the DSES (Shariah) index closed 12.98 points to settle at 1245.Of the issues traded , 264 gained, 54 declined and 23 issues
remained unchanged.

Short Term Market Outlook

The prime bourse of the country extended The winning streak for the 8th straight day following investors' optimistic view tow ards the market amid new hope
in the year 2019.We expect market will perform well for next few days as political worries over after the national election.

Long Term Market Outlook

In next 20-30 days bullish ptential is higher than bear.Investors are requested to observe the market and be prepared for bottom hunting.
