Research Proposal: Effects of Club activities among NSU students.

Subject: Proposal to conduct a research project on how to club activities effects on the study
of NSU undergraduate students.

Introduction
Student club activities refer to club and programming focusing on the scholarly endeavors
and creating positive societal change. Now-a-days it’s become more popular to join club
activities among Bangladeshi university students. Following the trend many NSU
undergraduate students are also joining or participating among various club activities.

The focus of my research will be on how club activity hampering NSU undergraduate
students’ study and how they benefitted and also what is NSU undergraduate students’
attitude towards joining club activity. A huge number of NSU undergraduate students
become member of various club. Time is valuable in student life, the more time students can
give to study it is better for them, but still some of them are sacrificing their valuable time
demonization of various club activities. I want to investigate why they are spending their
valuable time for club activities and which types of students belong to. And I also want to
know how much time they spend and how they are get benefited by joining club activities. I
hope to find answers to such questions through my research work.

Research questions
In my research I plan to find out how club activities hampers or do good the study of NSU
undergraduate students. My research will address the following research questions:

1. Why they are joining various club activities?

2. Which types of students belong to?

3. What is the average time they spend for club activities every day?

4. In which educational year do the most NSU students join in the club?

5. How do club activities hamper their study?

6. How do they get benefited by joining various club activities?

Hypothesis
From my research I expect to find how club activity hampers the study of NSU
undergraduate students and how they benefitted. I expect that most of the student will agree
that club activity hampers their study because it is time consuming. I also expect to find that
students who are joining different club activities are facing more difficulty to give proper
time to their regular study. And I also expect to find that students who do not joining club
activity have higher CGPA.

Research Methodology
For my primary research, I will conduct a survey of a representative sampling of
undergraduate students of North South University. I will also design a questionnaire with
different types of questions so as to get a range of data which will help me to answer my
research questions.

For my secondary research, I plan to use the resource of the library and also consult few
online journals and websites authorized by Bangladesh government. I will also browse the
internet and use standard search engines like Google.

Organization
My paper will be divided into several sections, the most important of which are the
Introduction, Background, Methodology, Result and Discussion and Summary of Findings.
Within the sections my organization will be based on my research questions.

Timetable
I hope to complete my primary research by the mid of July and my secondary research by the
end of July. I shall complete the final draft of my Research Paper by the end of 1st week of
August and submit it by the specified deadline (the last day of classes) towards the end of the
semester.
