that we should follow in HIS steps.

28:19, 20 (NT 31) tells us.
POINTS TO EMPHASIZE:

1. Before a person is baptized, he should be taught

to observe al things – the principles of GOD’s
Word. This excludes infant baptism.
2. The baptismal formula shows that he person is to
be baptized in the name of the FATHER, SON, and
HOLY GHOST.

practice? Acts 8:36-39 (NT 113).

1. It is necessary to believe before being baptized.

2. Philip and the eunuch went down into the water.
3. The eunuch was baptized, and both came up out
of the water.
4. This was not a sprinkling but a complete
immersion.

2. When we rise, we rise to walk in newness of life.

MODULATION TO NEXT TEXT:

Let us look at Acts 19:1-5 (NT 124).
POINTS TO EMPHASIZE:

1. Here is an illustration of rebaptism.

2. A person should be rebaptized when a
“significantly new truth” is discovered or
followed.
a. This is either a completely new truth, or
b. A revival of truth once held but not followed.

MODULATION TO NEXT TEXT:

What will those saved be willing to do? Our last text is

Revelation 22:14 (NT 226).
POINT TO EMPHASIZE:

1. Those who are saved follow CHRIST’s commands

– all of them.

APPEAL:

CHRIST’s appeal to be baptized is just as important as HIS

other commands. The only question is, Will we heed it?

PRAYER:

1. Pray that we may see the importance of following

CHRIST all the way.
2. Pray that GOD will bless this family as they make
their decision for CHRIST and HIS truth.
3. Remember the family’s needs.
