My thesis title is:

A Comprehensive Study of the System of Administration of Juvenile Justice in the Iloilo City

2. My General Objective/Problem is:

The general objective of this research is to comprehensively study the system of administration of
juvenile justice in the Iloilo City.

3. My Specific Objectives/Problems are:

a) To determine the system of rehabilitation of Iloilo City in integrating into society the children in
conflict with the law (CICL)

b) To determine the knowledge and insights of Ilonggos on government programs for CICL such as
the “houses of hope” or Bahay Pag-Asa (BPA)

c) To determine the level of awareness of local government units (LGUs) in Iloilo City on the mandate
of managing youth homes

d) To determine the process of reintegrating CICL in the city of Iloilo

4. My Hypotheses are:

a) Both diversion and intervention activities for CICL are only partially implemented or partially
undertaken in Iloilo City

b) Ilonggos are familiar with Bahay Pag-Asa; however, CICL are not well informed of their rights

c) Government officials of Iloilo City are not trained well on the proper handling of CICL

d) The enforcement of the law on juvenile justice as well as the premises that touch on the best
interests of the child, on which the laws are based, has much room for improvement
