INTRODUCTION

The INSET (In-Service Training for Teachers) is

meant to have Professional Development for educators.
This is done every year to enhance the skills and
abilities of public school teachers in the Department of
Education.

Today, there are various trends that shape and

change the world of education today. Those trends
include changing age structures, knowledge intensive
service economies, changing world of work and jobs,
concept of learning society, rapid developments in ICT
(Information and Communication Technology) and social
connections. There is that need to develop system
capacities for educational reform and change.

Change attempts in education mostly aim to narrow

the widening gap between the traditional capabilities of
educational systems and emerging demands of the
learners.
