DIRECTIONS: When you have finished your SketchUp monument and
completed the paperwork associated with it, you will download MineCraft
to your computer using the directions below. You will then attempt to build
the same monument using MineCraft and answer the questions at the
bottom of the page.
Directions for Downloading MineCraft:
1. Click on the search tool in the bottom left of the screen and search
for “Software Center”
2. Open software center and look for MineCraft.
3. Click install and wait for the program to install.
4. Click on the search tool again and search for Minecraft.
5. Sign in to Minecraft using your Office 365 username (Mrs. Berman
has a list) and the password that you use to log into the computer.
When you have downloaded MineCraft, do your best to recreate your
monument using Minecraft then answer the following questions.
1. What is different about MineCraft than SketchUp?
2. Which one do you think is better for designing a monument?
3. What is a situation in which MineCraft would be a more appropriate
tool?
4. What is a situation in which SketchUp would be a more appropriate
tool?
