1. This assignment contains only ONE (1) question that is set in both Malay and English. / Tugasan ini
mengandungi SATU (1) soalan sahaja yang disediakan dalam bahasa Melayu dan bahasa Inggeris.

2. Answer in Malay or English. / Jawab dalam bahasa Melayu atau bahasa Inggeris.

3. Learners are to submit assignment only in MsWord format unless specified otherwise. Please refrain
from converting text/phrases into picture format such as .gif/ .jpeg/print screen / etc. / Anda
dikehendaki menyerahkan tugasan dalam format MsWord melainkan dinyatakan sebaliknya. Anda tidak
dibenarkan untuk menukar teks/frasa tugasan tersebut kepada format grafik seperti.jpeg / .gif / print
screen / dan lain-lain format berkaitan.

4. Download the language version of the assignment template concerned from the myINSPIRE for
preparation and submission of your assignment. Your assignment should be typed using 12 point Times
New Roman font and 1.5 line spacing. / Muat turunkan templat tugasan versi bahasa yang berkenaan
daripada myINSPIRE untuk penyediaan dan penyerahan tugasan anda. Tugasan anda hendaklah ditaip
dengan menggunakan saiz fon 12 Times New Roman dan langkau baris 1.5.

5. Your assignment should be between 2500 to 3000 words excluding references. Do not copy the
assignment question and instructions to your answer. Only assignment answer developed within the
approximate word limit will be assessed. The number of words should be shown at the end of your
assignment. / Tugasan anda hendaklah mengandungi 2500 hingga 3000 patah perkataan tidak
termasuk rujukan. Bilangan perkataan hendaklah ditunjukkan di hujung tugasan anda. Jangan menyalin

ASSIGNMENT QUESTION

PURPOSE

The purpose of this assignment is to develop learners’ ability to determine the


relationship between career development process and strategies of an organisation.

REQUIREMENT

Career management issues and challenges in the workplace is an important discussion


particularly, amongst the dual-career couple. The career development process is believed
to improve employee career development and performance faced by an organisation.

For this assignment, students are required to explore the impact of the career
development process on career management strategies in the workplace amongst the
Malaysian dual-career couple. The relevant discussion must include:
1. to obtain information and making notes on career development issues and
challenges from the previous journals (must be latest journals from 2010 up to
current year)
2. to include citation/quotation and references of the work of other scholars
3. to include support of facts and evidence from data collection of the study

For the main source of the study, please refer to the Human Resource Development:
OUM's module of the Topic 9 and 10 as a guideline of information. Also, the study can use
other sources include articles, books and report online.

The guidelines of marking scheme are as below using the assignment rubrics.

TUJUAN

Tujuan tugasan ini adalah untuk menentukan hubungan antara proses pembangunan
kerjaya dan strategi organisasi.

KEPERLUAN

Pengurusan kerjaya di tempat kerja merupakan satu perbincangan penting khususnya, di


antara pasangan dwi-kerjaya. Proses pembangunan kerjaya dipercayai meningkatkan
perkembangan dan prestasi kerja kakitangan dan dihadapi oleh sesebuah organisasi.

Untuk tugasan ini, pelajar dikehendaki meneroka kesan proses pembangunan kerjaya ke
atas strategi pengurusan kerjaya di tempat kerja di kalangan pasangan-bekerjaya Malaysia.
Perbincangan yang berkaitan mesti termasuk:
1. mendapatkan maklumat dan membuat nota mengenai isu dan cabaran
pembangunan kerjaya menggunakan jurnal terdahulu (jurnal rujukan tahun terkini
bermula tahun 2010 hingga tahun semasa)
2. memasukkan petikan dan rujukan karya penulis/cendiakawan/pengkaji bidang
berkaitan
3. memasukkan sokongan fakta dan bukti dari pengumpulan data kajian

Untuk sumber utama kajian ini, sila rujuk kepada Buku/Modul Pembangunan Sumber
Manusia: Penulisan OUM Topik 9 dan 10 sebagai panduan. Juga, kajian itu boleh
menggunakan sumber lain termasuk artikel, buku dan laporan dalam talian.
