OURVILLAGE
Your Monthly Higher Kinnerton Community Newsletter
Welcome!
A Happy New Year to all our readers and welcome to our new BIGGER eight page monthly Our Village Newsletter!
In recent months the newsletter team found themselves in the position of having too much news to fit into too small a
newsletter and not enough space for some of the photos that had been provided by contributors.
Higher Kinnerton Community Council took the decision to fund a new bigger newsletter which would include all our village
news and would also give us the opportunity to welcome new local businesses to advertise with us.
With the extra space now available we welcome your contributions on village matters and would also love to include your
photos of village life. Remember, not everyone is on Facebook many of the fantastic photos you post on there don’t get
seen.
So, if you have something to share with all the community, please send your contribution to
newsletter@higherkinnerton.org.uk Contributions need to be submitted by the 20th of the month.
We are looking for a new member to join our team starting More news on the Community Transport system will be
in January 2019 included in the next newsletter.
The hours offered are Monday & Friday breakfast club (8am-
9am) and Monday & Wednesday After School Club (2.45pm-
6pm)

The largest ever exhibition from the archives of Manchester
animation studios Cosgrove Hall takes place at Theatr Clwyd
until 12 January.
Danger Mouse, Count Duckula, Engie Bengy and a host of
other favourites from the 1970s until 2000s take the
spotlight in a rare and nostalgic insight into the production
of some of the most recognisable children’s animation of
the last four decades.
The exhibition features original models, puppets,
storyboards and hand drawn animation from iconic
children’s film and TV.
With a reputation for creativity and an eye for detail Brian
Cosgrove and Mark Hall inspired a generation of animators
with their pioneering use of stop motion production
techniques.
The pair met while working at Granada TV in the 1960s,
having studied graphics at Manchester College of Art.
They founded Cosgrove Hall Productions in the suburb of
