JUDUL PENELITIAN : The Implementation of Student Teams Achievement

Division to Cognitive Achievement of Grade Tenth Students at Senior High School XYZ
Sangihe

LATAR BELAKANG PENELITIAN:

Only 30% of students able to achieve the standard score that has been determined by the
school. Most of the time, the students discuss with their friend when doing the guided
practice. They learn better when they are discussing it with their friend rather than doing by
themselves. Because they seat pair by pair, they work together to work the guided practice
but when both of them aren’t able to work it, they tend to ask the teacher the answer rather
than asking others. STAD helps the students by facilitating them with discussing the material
the high-achieving students.

TUJUAN PENELITIAN :
1. To improve students’ cognitive achievement on math subject for grade X-science.
2. To know how student teams achievement division (STAD) could improve students’
cognitive achievement on math subject for grade X-science.

METODE PENELITIAN :

a. Jenis penelitian : Classroom Action Research

b. Subjek penelitian : X-science
c. Waktu penelitian : 6th September 2018 – 28th September 2018
d. Data penelitian : Lesson plans, reflections, mentor feedback(s), students’
questionnaire, observation sheet (mentor and colleague), checklist implementation of
STAD (mentor and colleague), quiz result
