INDIA LEAVE WITHOUT PAY POLICY

TCS extends support to employees during personal emergencies and fosters


1 a culture of continuous learning, by providing the option of Leave Without
Pay (LWP) for specific reasons.
KEY HIGHLIGHTS
Full Time Employees with 2 or more years of continuous service who
2 fulfill individual criteria specified, may avail LWP.

Based on the reason for LWP, it may be granted up to a maximum of


3 365 days, except in case of higher education and childcare (2 children)
where it may be availed up to 730 and 545 days respectively.

Employees with less than 2 years continuous service may avail


LWP (max 30 days), under exceptional circumstances, subject to 4
approval.

The LWP period may not be considered as continuous service for certain
benefits, based on the reason for which it was availed. 5
It is important to note that LWP is not an entitlement and is subject to review and
approval. This document must be read in conjunction with the LWP Policy accessible
