University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire is located in the West Midlands and is

We provide general acute hospital services to approximately 500,000 people from


Coventry and Rugby and specialist hospital services to over one million people from
Coventry, Warwickshire and beyond. The Trust has a revenue budget of approximately
£473 million, we employ 5,639 staff, manage 1,380 beds and 32 operating theatres.

On behalf of the Chief Operating Officer, the Deputy Chief Operating Officer will directly
oversee and manage the daily operational management of our hospitals and clinical
services, ensuring the delivery of high quality, safe and effective care.
Central to this will be the improvement and delivery of local and national targets and a
focus on patient and staff experience.
You will be an inspiring and credible leader with significant senior operational experience
within a large complex organisation. You will have the ability to influence both internally
and externally working across organisational boundaries with partners in our health
economy.

Due to the retirement of the current post-holder, a General Manager vacancy has
arisen in the Community Health and Wellbeing directorate where you will be a
key member of the directorate Senior Management Team and are responsible for
providing operational management leadership and direction and contributing to
