process removes most superfluous surface imperfections. The leather is also known as
corrected grain.

sport-lifestyle footwear.
Style. Technology. Comfort. Durability, these are the qualities found in every Power athletic shoe since we began in
1971. Designed in Canada, our shoes are sold all over the world.
Since first launching as the athletic branch of Bata International in 1971, the Power brand has advanced
steadily. The footwear brand grew from the use of its trademark Flash in 1971 and came into its own in 1979
with the official Power name and identity. Power provides superior functionality to the consumer without
sacrificing form. Initially making a name for itself with football shoes, the brand was chosen as the official
sports shoe of the 1986 FIFA World Cup of Football in Mexico City.

FEATURES FUNCTION
Walking Shoes: As you walk, the body's weight is distributed more evenly on the foot than when you run.
When walking, your weight rolls from the heel, through the ball and continues to the toe in one foot after the
other. This gentler, rocking-chair like motion requires your feet to absorb the shock of only 1-2x your body
weight with each step. And, during walking there are points where both feet are firmly on the ground, dividing
weight. Walking shoes are designed with the specific body mechanics and strike path of walking in mind. They
are constructed to be more flexible through the ball of the foot to allow a greater range of motion through the
roll of the forefoot. They also have greater arch support to protect where the force is heaviest on the foot.
Running Shoes :, on the other hand (or foot for that matter) requires the support of at least 2-3x your body
weight and each stride has moments with neither foot on the ground. With each step, the outer heel absorbs
most of the impact before distributing weight through the foot in an S motion through toe off.
Running shoes, have more cushioning in the heel–the point of impact–and less protection through the ball of
the foot. The amount of heat generated in the running motion is greater, so running shoes also are made with
a higher amount of mesh to keep feet cool during exercise.
Training Shoe are built-up more around the ankle to provide additional support for both forward and lateral
movement. These shoes are designed expressly for the gym enthusiast, with a seamless transition from
jogging on a treadmill, lifting weights or doing step aerobics. While not intended for long runs, the shoes will
support runs up to 5k in distance.

HUSH PUPPIES
HUSH PUPPIES
The Hush Puppies brand was founded in 1958 following extensive work by Wolverine to
develop a practical method of pigskin tanning for the US military. (Pigskin is considered one of
the most durable leathers and the government was interested in its use in gloves and other
protective materials for soldiers.) Chairman Victor Krause developed the concept of a "casual"
pigskin shoe to appeal to the then-growing post-war suburbia in the United States. The brand
became instantly recognizable as a leisure casual staple of late 1950s and 1960s American life.
Hush Puppies claimed their rubber soles saved the life of Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards
when he accidentally touched his guitar against an ungrounded microphone at a 1965 concert
in Sacramento, California. Richards was knocked unconscious, but medics believed that the
crepe-soled Hush Puppies shoes he was wearing insulated him and saved his life.[2]

What is double density or triple density soles?
Two different densities of PU/Rubber in one. Dual Density soles is the combining of two different
densities of the material (tough on the outside and soft and comfortable on the inside) to increase the
shoe's durability and shock absorption.
The bottom layer being for durability, This is moulded with minimal room for expansion, minimizes air
bubbles, and leaves a solid durable layer on the bottom.
The top layer is for shock absorption and uses the opposite principles. A small portion of raw material is
used and allowed to expand, leaving a soft, cushion-like layer on the top of each sole.
For eg:-The Dual Density PU soles mean extended life and greater comfort with an extremely lightweight
sole.
All shoes with PU soles has to be regularly used so that the absorbed moisture
dries out quickly and regularly .Regular wearing puts pressure on the sole thus
squeezes out water/moisture .
The company is in existence for more than 120 years now; it is also one of the fastest growing company
globally. It would not have survived for this long had it been producing poor quality. We apologize for
any bad product that you might have received.
Anatomical insole designed for people with tired, painful feet, for people who are on their feet all
day, who walk a lot. In contrast to conventional insoles, it has two points of support, the plantar
arch and the soft heel pad, which means that the body weight is spread evenly over these zones
and this delays the first signs of tiredness as the muscles are relieved. This relief is noticed
immediately in the central part of the sole of the foot giving a great sense of comfort and well
being.
How some technology like memory cushion /Bounce Technology etc. works.
The material used in outsole/insole such as PU foam and Rubber would have features such as
Stability: Material’s resistance to change in shape and size
Elasticity: Material’s ability to bend and flex under the influence of a force and regain it’s size and
shape once the force is removed.

What make a shoe leather waterproof? Will this property last lifelong?
Acrylic copolymer sprays/dyes are used to make a leather waterproof. For suede leather water based
silicon sprays are used. It forms a microscopic net that is too fine for water to penetrate but porous
enough to allow air to pass through it.
This coating will gradually rub off and reduce the water proofing qualities.
