Introduction

In April 1994, Brian Lara joined the

ranks of cricketing greats like Bradman,
Gooch and Mohammed by scoring an
incredible 375 runs in a test innings.

This is the highest ever recorded Series

score and was a prelude to the
unbelievable 501 not out he scored
for Warwickshire in County cricket.

In 1998 Brian Lara secured the

captaincy of club and country. In his
first outing as West Indies captain,
Lara lead his team to victory in both
test and one day series, personally
averaging over fifty. Upon his return
to English cricket, Lara rejoined
former club Warwickshire, and
was instantly elected club captain.
