POSITION: DIRECTOR, GLOBAL DATA INTELLIGENCE

Department: Ipsos Creative Excellence and Innovation Service Lines, Global Data Intelligence

Reporting to: Global Lead, Data Intelligence

Job Description and Responsibilities


The Global Data Intelligence Director is the principal subject matter expert for the Creative Excellence
and Innovation databases and is responsible for centralizing and overseeing the implementation of the
global databasing strategy for both Service Lines, toggling between the two depending on business
needs and priorities. The role collects all its inputs from four groups of stakeholders – Global Research
Analytics, Global Modelling Units, Global Product Innovation, and Global Product Implementation &
Execution – translates their business needs into formal requirements, harmonizes them into initiatives,
prioritizes the work, and coordinates the implementation schedule and budget with the IT team in
charge of the database development and maintenance.
This role’s primary responsibilities are:
1. Overall management of the strategic development needs, from a definition (specs) and
implementation (priorities management) perspective
2. Define single global processes and tools for database management – uploads, reporting,
updates, and maintenance
3. Strategic planning – prioritization with a view to sequencing all the developments
needed to meet the business needs: data definition, data input and output automation,
norms management, and reporting
4. Build data management quality framework (specific measures, tools, and processes)
5. Coordinate technical pilots for automated product and platform implementations or
enhancements
6. Work with CPMs and Global CS teams to understand and develop client specific data
requirements, making the database the single source of truth for all client deliverables
7. Develop standard, automated volumetric reports for business decision making purposes
8. Liaise with the Global Data Intelligence Lead to schedule and deploy IT developments

Mandatory Skills
 Solid understanding of database concepts and applications as well as DP processes
 Proven Project Manager with multi country/global PM experience in a matrixed environment
 Passionate completer/finisher who can see the bigger picture as well as manage the detail
necessary in a program such as this
 Strong collaborator able to work across multiple teams/geographies and understand their needs
whilst maintaining a clear focus on the end goals
 Ability to manage through others and maintain strong connection to remote teams is critical
 Working hours’ flexibility is a critical factor in the success of this job, many of the constituents
being on different timeframes

Note: this role is not the central point of contact for project-level data requests or troubleshooting, as
this should be managed by the research teams, Operations, or IT, depending on the need.
