1. Allocate your monthly budget/ yearly budget using a pie chart.

Daily budget/ baon given every school day PhP 200.00

School days per month 27 days

Total approximate budget per month PhP 5400.00

2. Analyze how you allocate and what factors are considered for these allocation.

Transportation 8 days * PhP 11.00 PhP 88.00

- Sometimes, there are extra Home to OM, and v.v.
trips that I take to easily go
home, especially during 19 days * PhP 8.00 PhP 152.00
rush hour when it is difficult Home to PLM, and v.v.
to ride a jeepney. I
sometimes ride the van
(PhP 15.00), then take a
jeep, or I sometimes ride the
E-trike (PhP 20.00). It is
more expensive but it is
more efficient.

Food ~PhP 500.00

- I have packed lunch every
day.
- Food expenditure is for
occasional snacks and
eating out with friends to
destress.
- I don’t feel like spending on
food is a waste especially
when you dine with friends
because of the memories
that come along with just
eating and spending time
together.
- I also seldom study out (e.g.
at coffee shops) because it
is expensive.

Education For reams of bond paper PhP 300.00

and ink

Utilities PhP 100 per week, PhP 200.00

- I don’t usually have mobile usually two weeks per
load. When I do, I subscribe month
to a weekly unlimited text
and 2GB data for days/
weeks I need mobile data
for school research.
- I also live with my family, so
I don’t need to worry about
electricity, water, and
internet bills.

Clothes PhP 200.00

- I rarely buy clothes because
I seldom go out of the
house. When I do, I buy
from Divisoria for just a
decent top.

Healthcare Soap- PhP 50.00 PhP 750.00

- I go to the dermatologist Creams- PhP 300.00
every two weeks. The Chemical Peel- PhP
consultation is free but what 400.00
I usually pay for are the
topical creams and soap for
my acne breakout.
- Sometimes, usually once
every 2 months, I have my
face chemically peeled.

Savings
- I have a piggy bank at home
where I drop my excess
money everyday.

3. If you find this lacking, how do you plan to improve?

- I am happy that I am able to save approximately half of my monthly
budget so that during times when my mother can’t give me money for
emergency situations, I have money to spend. Also, whenever I want to
spend on something, I need not ask for money from my mother. I just
hope that I would be more strict in following my monthly budget, because
sometimes, especially during stressful weeks, I tend to eat more and I
have to spend more on coffee at cafes to study. If I were to improve my
monthly budget, I would lessen my savings to about 40% because I
sometimes feel like I am depriving myself on the fun stuff, such as clothes,
and shoes. Yes, savings is good but we should not forget to enjoy life,
because when we die, we would not take our money with us on the grave.
We should live life to the fullest.
